Justin Crespo_Notice and Focus_Blog #1
I personally believe that the four step mehtod is a very interesting and effective method of viewing any piece of work. It enables an individual to really think outside the box. Rather than rushing to the point, or focusing on what stands out the most, you must identify the piece as a whole and breaks it down. This method is the true way of analyzing a piece of work because it requires you to look at all elements of the piece. The notice and focus method opens your mind and allows you to find hidden details and draw conclusions from those details that you would have never thought of before. I think that this method is very usefull because it helps the viewer see things that others wouldnt and create original ideas or very interesting interpretations of a certain piece of work that most people would not be able to create without this method. In most cases people do not know of this method, I definitely did not, but without it you will not be capable of seeing hidden ideas even in what may appear to be the most simplest piece of work. My personal opinion of this method, is that although it can be very helpful, i feel as though depending on the piece of work one is examining, this method can definitely be unecessary.
